Creating a bouncy, sinister rendition to Blu’s 2012 released single “Kiss the Sky,” originally produced by M-Phazes, Large Professor manages to transform Blu’s bars into a destructive force of nature. Whereas the original had the Australian beat smith providing a more inspirational and soulful vibe, Xtra P’s version flips the script entirely by showcasing just how deadly he is with an MPC, while DJ Revolution shreds a classic Method Man quotable into oblivion. Land Of The Crooks is a collaborative EP from Brooklyn’s Sean Price and Australia’s Aria Award-winning producer M-Phazes. The project consists of four original tracks, featuring Roc Marciano, Billy Danze (of M.O.P.), Maffew Ragazino, Loudmouf Choir, and DJ Babu, in addition to the Small Professor Remix of “Murdah Type Thinkin,” featuring a guest verse from Guilty Simpson. Producers Small Professor and Cabes deliver their winning remixes from The Strung Out Remix Contest, presented by Skyzoo. Small Pro cooks up an ambitious, soulful rendition, whereas Brazil’s Cabes delivers a sample-free, synth heavy alternative. “Strung Out”, originally produced by Shuko, is featured on The Foundation, which is produced entirely by the German beatsmith.
The Brown Tape is the debut full-length project from the Brown Bag AllStars (BBAS). This elite seven man crew of hip-hop purists consist of The Audible Doctor (Emcee/Producer), J57, (Emcee/Producer), KONCEPT (Emcee), Soul Khan (Emcee), DJ E Holla, Deejay Element & DJ Goo. “Credibility” is the debut Digi 12″ from Coalmine’s Strong Arm Records imprint and their flagship artist XL. “Credibility” pairs XL’s diabolical flow alongside the witty and wise street smarts of Sean Price, over an orchestral head-nodder produced by Germany’s, Shuko. On the flip, legendary beat smith Domingo “The Butcher” captures XL’s maddening flows on “The Butcher”
“Perfect Timing” features the legendary CL Smooth along with hip-hop’s next of kin, Skyzoo over a soulful banger produced by Coalmine’s affiliate beat-smith M-Phazes, hailing from Australia.
The Horror Flick Remix EP is Bekay’s follow-up to his acclaimed Rawkus 50 release, The Horror Flick LP, which was originally released on November 27th, 2007 and re-released through Coalmine Records on September 1st of 2009. This ep includes remixes of three of the album’s more noteworthy tracks, remixed by M-Phazes, Domingo and Twice As Nice.






A-Sides From The Archives is a digital-only collection of A-Sides from Coalmine’s previously released vinyl catalog. As an added bonus, we have included a sampler of singles from our upcoming releases – all mixed by the extraordinary Mick Boogie.
Coalmine releases yet another potent 12”, this time featuring the Mobb Deep affiliate Big Noyd. The A side, “All Out”, pairs QB’s own Big Noyd with his west coast counterparts’ Phil the Agony and Krondon (of Strong Arm steady). Coalmine reenlists both Shuko and Mista Sinista for this infectious street banger. The flip side “How We Do” brings Noyd back to the Bridge. This track unites Big Noyd with his Q-borough brethren, Trez over classic Ric Rude production.
“Where Brooklyn At?” B/W “Young” is Coalmine Records third 12” release, this time putting the spotlight on their flagship artist, Bekay. The A side “Where Brooklyn At?” teams up Bekay with the late Old Dirty Bastard over an uptempo, feel-good party anthem produced by KONMAN Productions (Kanye West’s former production team). The B side, “Young” pairs Bekay over the production talents of Shuko for a tale of Bekay’s shifty youth over Shuko’s boom bap drums and nostalgic sample play with Mista Sinista on the cross fader and 1200s.
“Altitude” B/W “1-2 Punch” is the second 12” release from Coalmine Records. This time, Coalmine pairs up with freestyle heavyweight, Supernatural who lends his off-the-top wordplay to help bring this project to life. Coalmine enlists underground beat smith Marco Polo for an anthemic banger with “Altitude”. On the flip, Supernat is paired with Seattle’s BeanOne who lays down an aggressive, drum-heavy battle track.
“The Raw” is Coalmine Records debut 12” single, released in April of 2005. On “The Raw”, DJ Dutchmaster collaborates with Saigon, Inspectah Deck and Bekay over Street Orchestra’s bone chilling piano loop. The B side reinvents the A side with a synth heavy, custom tailored remix, courtesy of !llmind.
